Brian Jacobs

Brian brings a unique ability to connect with people of all ages, offering deep empathy and kindness as the foundation of his work. His approach beautifully blends traditional psychology with the profound connection between body, mind, and spirit found in Breathwork.

With over 9 ½ years of practice, Brian helps individuals develop and deepen the relationship they already have with their own breath. He holds a firm belief that we are all our own greatest healers; his role is simply to provide the tools to help you connect with the power that is already within you and provide a space for Self-compassion and Self-Love to awaken.

Educational Background & Clinical Expertise

Brian earned his Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Loyola Marymount University, developing a strong foundation in diverse psychological theories and practice. He also holds a certificate as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC-I).


His extensive clinical background includes and not limited to:

Community West: Working with young adults and adolescents, facilitating Somatic Processing groups.

The Maple Center: Training working with children, adolescents, and adults.

Breathwork For Recovery: Specializing in Recovery Centers: Facilitating Breathwork and Somatic Processing groups at facilities such as Recovery Integrity, /antedote, Transcend, Numa, Silicon Beach, and Detox LA.

UCLA’s Neuropsychiatric Institute: Volunteering with children in physical therapy settings.

Vista Del Mar School volunteered in a counseling environment assisting adolescents in the high school

The Mindry Wellness Center- facilitating Breathwork groups

Board Membership: Proudly serving on the board of the Southern California Counseling Center.

Specialized Training

Brian was trained in Pranayama Breathwork by David Elliott, completing Healer Trainings. This specialized yogic based technique is an active breathing meditation that can help clear emotional blocks, and bring about an opening to one’s heart. Brian has been a part of several Men’s Breathwork groups within the lineage of David Elliott; Pranayama Breathwork.

Currently, Brian is enrolled at the Poly Vagal Institute developing his knowledge and education in Poly Vagal theory, starting The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP).
